As a Purchasing Associate, you will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures, maintaining supply inventory levels, and negotiate deals with potential vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers

• Request quotes and compare prices

• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers

• Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply

• Examine and review products and supplies to ensure quality

• Organize and update database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantity of supplies

• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing

• Track orders and ensure timely delivery

• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

• Must be a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, food tech or related field preferred

• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is require for this position.

• Good knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy, and systems

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

• Knowledge in Quickbooks System is a plus

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts

• Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

• Accurate and precise attention to detail

• Knows how to cook is a plus
